Alex & Michael at Royal Botanic Garden and Italo House, Sydney

I remember exactly where I was when I first spoke on the phone to Alex about her wedding. I was at Cairns airport where I had just spent 3 days shooting a commissioned job. I was exhausted but as she unraveled her plans and vision I felt my energy bubbling up for the day. All I could think about was how can I make sure they booked me to be their photographer. After 5 minutes of our initial consultation, I think we both knew this would be a fit. I was so excited.

Michael has an Indonesian heritage and they took so many trips to Indonesia to collect fabric and accessories for the wedding. The day itself honestly felt like a dream, I was totally swept up in all of the colours and the magical setting they created.

I chose to edit the images in a soft and warm tone whilst still maintaining a crisp and fresh feeling. I was so excited to have captured the romance and magnetism that these two share.
